My name is Alena Barrington. I am a veterinary technician at a small animal hospital in Concord, NH. My interest in East German Shepherds started 14 years ago when I obtained my first DDR/Czech shepherd Zach. He was not only a loyal family dog, but he was great with friends and respectful of strangers; In fact, he could very often be seen ambling down the aisles in a well known pet store in Boston, MA.
My relationship with him inspired me to start breeding DDR
shepherds using dogs with stable temperments, sound physiology and
working line pedigrees. Each of my dogs love running for miles with us
on our atv's through somewhat rough terrain, jumping in and out of snow banks, and swimming in our pond. They are, however, just as comfortable chasing sticks with my 9 year old nephew and being tugged on by 2 year old twins. Often, by the end of the day, they simply enjoy sitting with us by the fireplace.
